Workshop 1 recap: Existing monitoring efforts
This workshop was co-organized by Sam Droege & Hollis Woodard, with a set of guest speakers who shared some lessons they have learned from their large monitoring efforts (including some non-bee projects and a UK pollinator monitoring project). Workshop discussions focused on the question, "What methods/infrastructure from existing monitoring efforts could be co-opted for a national native bee monitoring program?"
The workshop report can be found here.
The speakers were (links go to recorded presentations on our YouTube channel):

Karen Oberhauser, University of Wisconsin-Madison Arboretum, on the Monarch Larva Monitoring Program
Claire Carvell, UK Centre for Ecology and Hydrology, on the UK Pollinator Monitoring Scheme (PoMS)
Sam Droege, USGS Eastern Ecological Science Center, on developing a US National Native Bee Monitoring Plan
